The Otago Canoe & Kayak Club (OCKC) is a community of people based in Dunedin who enjoy all forms of kayaking: sea, whitewater, racing, multi-sport, slalom, canoe polo and more. We provide a forum for like-minded people to meet, organise events and participate in all kayak related activities. We are affiliated to to Whitewater NZ who are involved in conservation efforts including the protection of NZ's wild rivers, and KASK, the Kiwi Association of Sea Kayakers.
Our members have a wealth of local knowledge that they love to share. If you have recently moved to the area, or want to get involved in kayaking, OCKC is a great place to start! If you have no experience, we have beginner-friendly training & skills activities.
The club has great equipment available for members to hire. OCKC organise the local Canoe Polo competition at Moana Pool each winter, including C grade which is suitable for beginners.
